Message: This place has a lovely innkeeper and she made our stay very pleasant. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. It used to be a hospital and they have done so far a unique recreation making it an inn. The coffee in the morning was exceptional.

Message: This was such an awesome place to stay in Fort Bragg! The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Walking distance to the beach and to a lot of resturants and little shops. The inn keeper was very helpful and showed us our room and the hotel. She even gave us reccomendations for places to eat and things to do! Would absolutely stay here again!

Message: Really enjoyed my stay. Large, comfortable, charming rooms. Neat older style architecture. Staff were friendly and helpful. A good central location in town if you'd like to walk to Glass Beach or some of the better restaurants and bars. In spite of the central location, noise level was low and I slept very well. Will definitely look them up next time I tour up the coast.

Message: My girlfriend and I stayed there many years ago, but we had an absolutely magical time. The room was wonderful, food sublime, and the owners were really amazing.. Ahh.. I now live in Illinois ( don't ask ). Anyhow, I still hold that place in fondest memory. :D.

Message: Our room was lovely and massive. Bedsheets and pillowed and towels were all supremely cozy and soft. This place doesn’t have any breakfast though, which was advertised on Google and AirBnB. That was a bummer.

Message: This place is a bit quirky, but overall we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed on the top floor and the view from the patio was great. We had a perfect view of the sunset. It took several stairs and ramps to get to our room so you should keep that in mind if have any trouble walking. Ft. Bragg and neaby Mendocino are really fun and peaceful places to visit and the Grey Whale Inn was a good place to stay.

Message: Authentic & unique. If your looking for a 5 star hotel, this is not it. as its in a class of its own. New owners, needs some fixing up, filled with history (was a hospital from the early 1900s), close to everything from ocean to restaurants & interesting historical places. Fun to explore, friendly & kind staff, quiet and has fantastic views from the top floor rooms. Like a quirky place? This is it.
